The Global Waste-to-Energy Research and Technology Council (WtERT®) is pleased to announce its partnership with the World Utilities Congress 2027, a leading global platform for the power and water utilities sector.

Hosted by TAQA, the Congress will take place from 25–27 May 2027 at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, bringing together more than 20,000 professionals, including policymakers, utility leaders, investors, technology providers, and researchers from around the world.

This strategic gathering serves as a key forum for advancing dialogue on sustainable, secure, and resilient utility systems. It provides a unique opportunity to explore cutting-edge technologies, engage in high-level strategic and technical discussions, and foster partnerships that will shape the future of the utilities landscape.

As a global academic and research network dedicated to sustainable waste management and energy recovery, WtERT will contribute to the Congress by promoting the role of waste-to-energy and resource recovery solutions within integrated utility systems. The event aligns closely with WtERT’s mission to support evidence-based decision-making and accelerate the transition toward circular and low-carbon economies.

WtERT invites its global network of academic institutions, industry partners, and policymakers to participate in this important event and engage in shaping the future of sustainable utilities.
