The 7th International Training Workshop on Waste to Energy will be held from October 25th to November 8th, 2023, in Hangzhou, China (online). The training workshop intends to share the fundamental theory, advanced technology, and practical experience of waste-to-energy (WtE) in China. The potential participants include researchers, technicians, and policymakers from developing countries. The training workshop will help improve their skills and promote international cooperation. Since 2016, six WtE training workshops have been successfully held, benefitting 151 participants from 27 developing countries.
The workshop will consist of four-hour classes each day and professors and prominent technical professionals in WtE research will lecture during program sessions. The courses, learning materials, and gifts will be offered free of charge. Thirty-five participants from developing countries are expected to join the workshop. Course materials will be sent to the participants free of charge before October 25th, 2023. Once the participants have completed all courses and have qualified for assessment, they will be awarded an official certificate issued by the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Science and Technology, China. The certificates will be mailed to the participants for free. Besides, three outstanding participants will be selected at the end of the workshop, issued additional certificates, and they will be fully funded to visit WtE plants for three days if they come to China in the future.
